TerraZyme Research

INDEPENDENT TESTING. DOCUMENTED FIELD PERFORMANCE.

PERFORMANCE SUPPORTED BY TESTING & FIELD EXPERIENCE

TerraZyme has been evaluated through laboratory testing and documented road applications under a range of soil and operating conditions. The research and field experience presented below provide technical support for its use in soil conditioning, improved compaction, road stabilization, and long-term road performance.

PENNDOT — EIGHT WINTERS OF SATISFACTORY PERFORMANCE

A Pennsylvania Department of Transportation field evaluation documented TerraZyme performance on a treated roadway over an eight-year period. After eight Pennsylvania winters, the treated road continued to demonstrate satisfactory performance, providing valuable long-term field evidence of TerraZyme-treated road stabilization under demanding seasonal conditions.

BIA — STRONGER ROADBASE, LOWER CONSTRUCTION COST

A Bureau of Indian Affairs road project demonstrated the practical and economic value of TerraZyme soil stabilization. By treating and improving the existing road material rather than relying on more extensive removal and replacement, the project reported approximately $1 million in construction savings and a three-month reduction in construction time, while producing a stronger, more stable roadbase.

BYU — CBR INCREASED 134% IN THREE WEEKS

Laboratory testing at Brigham Young University measured a substantial improvement in California Bearing Ratio (CBR) following TerraZyme treatment. The untreated soil recorded a CBR of 28.0, while the TerraZyme-treated soil reached 65.6 three weeks after treatment—a 134% increase in measured CBR and evidence of substantially improved load-bearing performance.

These results are presented on page 4 of the TerraZyme Technical Brochure.
