Natural Enzyme for Drying and Stabilizing Soil
TerraZyme is a concentrated, multi-enzyme formulation that dries and stabilizes soil to produce a strong, long-lasting road base or hardstand. TerraZyme® provides the environmental advantages of being non-toxic, non-caustic, non-corrosive, and it is totally biodegradable.
Using L&Q's process for drying and building soil beds, water-logged roads and work areas are ready for service in 24 to 36 hours. See a detailed description of the Road Drying Process and our video

Project Descriptions
- Drying and preparing access areas for construction projects
- Drying and hardening unpaved roads
- Drying and stabilizing base course for road construction
Water-logged roads halt transportation and destroy vehicles. L&Q's unique Drain and Dry Process uses TerraZyme to dry these areas in 24 to 36 hours.

TerraZyme is an award winning soil stabilizer that has been used since 1971 to build hardened and affordable unpaved roads all over the world.
Advantages:
Highly effective--TerraZyme works in almost all soils with 15% or more clay content. Dries and hardens soil beyond maximum compaction density (MCD). Roads and work areas remain strong and dust is minimized. Helps eliminate potholes and washboarding.
Environmentally Safe--TerraZyme is safe to apply and use by any standards. Non-toxic, no run-off, and no leaching. TerraZyme biodegrades over time when exposed to water, but it is easily restored.
Saves Money--TerraZyme cuts transportation costs. Requires a fraction as much product as stabilizers such as lime and cement. Cost is approximately the same as building base course with aggregate.
Minimal Maintenance--TerraZyme may require periodic surface treatment on the wear layer, depending on traffic volume, speed, and weight. Damaged roads and potholes are easily fixed. L&Q's ROAD-HARD can be used as a natural, water-repellent wear layer.
Easy to use--TerraZyme is a liquid concentrate applied with water to a tilled surface. The soil bed is then mixed, left to cure for 24 hours, shaped, and compacted. Surface areas are ready to be used as early as 24 hours after compaction.
Rapid Construction—A supervised, unskilled labor crew of 4 can treat 1 mile of two-lane road per day. Cure time runs 24 to 48 hours.
Suggested Areas for Treatment
- Public and private roadways
- Construction projects
- Parking lots, hardstands, work areas
- Mining sites, oil fields, and timber haul roads
The roadbed above was thoroughly saturated and water logged. After draining with trench cutting wheels, 7" deep channels were created to allow the soil to drain further and breathe. TerraZyme was then sprayed and mixed into the soil body. In 24 hours, the road bed was dry and ready for compaction.
